Hello, I am Regina Oyarce, a licensed Acupuncture Physician in Florida. Being an Acupuncturist has been an amazing and rewarding path in life and I have been able to help many people improve their health and live free of pain.

I believe that happens not by working with alternative medicine, but with Traditional Medicine. I am helping the local Doral community and surrounding areas with the natural healing process of your mind, body, and spirit so that you can feel whole again.

My philosophy

I feel that many doctors focus on a patient’s symptoms, rather than the root cause of a disease. According to the Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is very important to find out what is causing the unbalance of energy in the body and why the patients feel the way they do. It has been my experience that using a holistic approach, where every organ works in harmony with each other, can help the body heal itself and restore balance.

Every individual is different, with unique dietary needs based upon their age, genetics, childhood diet, lifestyle, stress levels, pharmaceutical history, and current state of health. Understanding those differences is a key when treating patients. It is all about the person and not the disease. A disease does not live in a healthy body.

It is very important to live your life in balance. There are many factors to be taken in consideration when trying to live healthy and avoid diseases. I feel that a good start is by eating healthy food, then moving into maintaining healthy relationships, dedicating time for healthy movements and exercise, and having a spiritual practice, having faith. Sometimes a pain is a sign of an underlying problem. It is our body communicating with us. We have to listen to our bodies and address the underlying cause of the pain. Taking painkillers to mask the discomfort is not a good solution.

My Story

I was born in Campinas, Brazil, a second generation Brazilian from German and Italian parents. I came to the United States to further my studies and pursue a degree. In 2001, I graduated with Honors from Florida International University with a BA in International Business. Later I enrolled in the School of Medicine only to discover that Western Medicine was not the type of medicine I wanted to study. I now practice Traditional Medicine in my practice, Benessere Miami.

I grew up in Brazil in a small town eating mainly homemade food. But I was an early caffeine and sugar junkie, loved meat, and remember taking antibiotics quite often. I was a teenager full of acne, skinny, hyperactive, got sick quite often, and often suffered from anxiety.

My First Life Changing Moment

When I was seventeen, I decided to move to Germany to learn the language and travel the world. I enrolled in a program called Au Pair and went to leave with a host family in Nuremberg, Germany. Even though the family received me with love, their health habits were quite different from mine. They were vegetarian, belonged to the Greenpeace organization, and they took pride in taking good care of their health.

For the very first time I realized there was another way to eat, and that there were alternatives to medicine and antibiotics. I learned about herbal and homeopathic medicine, and I was amazed they worked better to treat some health problems.

My Second Life Changing Moment

After spending a year living in Germany, the Au Pair program was over and I went back to Brazil. I enrolled in the university to study International Business because I thought at the time it was the trendy thing to do. The only problem was that I was thirsty for knowledge and to see the world. A good friend of mine approached me with the idea of transferring my college credits to a university in Miami.

I moved to the United States with the intention to study and finish my degree, but the Lord had other plans for me. I got married, had 2 children and realized that business was not my passion. I was in a search for self-discovery when I tore my meniscus and I was informed I needed surgery. I wanted to do things natural, so I started searching for an alternative solution to avoid having surgery. That is when I discovered acupuncture. After only 3 sessions, my knee pain was about 80% better. I went from not being able to walk properly to almost no pain. Those results were so impressive to me that I decided I needed to learn the practice of acupuncture. So I went back to school, spent another 4 years studying, and today here I am practicing acupuncture and I am a Doctor in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Finding my peace

I am a Christian and I believe that God always gives us a chance to improve ourselves and more importantly, He give us gifts that we can use according to His purpose. I truly love what I do and I feel I am gentle and practice with love. First love for the Lord, and then love for others. I don’t judge or criticize others.

I believe we all need to learn the beauty in everything we see and be thankful for what we have. Potentiality manifests as actuality when conditions are favorable and that includes being energized by intention. What your mind believes is truth will usually manifest itself in the body. Today I choose to be in peace!

My calling

I founded Benessere Miami in 2012 with the intention to help people feel better from their pain and aches. I like to listen to the body that tells us early on when there is a problem and we can either respond to this message or try to suppress the symptoms that our body uses to tell us there is a problem. You can take medicine to suppress the symptoms and they will help for a short time. However, unless the underlying problem is corrected, the body will begin to break down structurally.

Even though pain rehabilitation is still my specialty, as the years of practice have passed I evolved into helping people just to feel better overall. I love the field of prevention and I believe that today is the perfect day to get started in healing yourself.
